O You Who Believe! Fear Allah and Keep The Company of the
Righteous. [Surah At-Tauba (9), Verse 119]

Being in the company of righteous people helps us to stay on the right path, as they serve as a source of inspiration and guidance.

The verse highlights the importance of both internal and external aspects of faith. It is not enough to simply believe in Allah and His Prophet, one must also act upon their beliefs and surround oneself with righteous people. This combination is essential for spiritual growth and is an indication of true faith.

In summary, the verse is a reminder to the believers to fear Allah and to seek the company of the righteous. By doing so, we can develop a strong relationship with Allah and become a better version of ourselves. It emphasizes the importance of both individual and collective efforts towards achieving a higher level of spirituality.

 

Allah has blessed the Muslim Ummah with guides known as Awliyah Allah, who has always kept us on the path of righteousness. These pious servants of Allah are beloved of Him and have attained their status through the blessings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Throughout history, Allah has sent them as guides to the Ummah.

The Awliyah Allah are like radiant lamps of guidance, whose light eliminates the darkness of disbelief and innovation. They attract believers towards the commands of Allah and His beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) and use their knowledge and spirituality to expose the falsehoods of deviants and eradicate the evils of society.

Amongst these blessed servants is a particular personality, who can be introduced through the sincere, devoted, exalted, and eminent disciple (Mureed) that he has. This disciple's love and admiration for his master serve as a testament to the importance of the relationship between the teacher and student in the Sufi tradition.

In essence, the Aayah emphasizes the significance of spiritual guides (Awliyah Allah) in the Islamic faith. Their role as guides and mentors is instrumental in the journey towards spiritual growth and closeness to Allah. It also highlights the importance of surrounding oneself with righteous people and the impact it has on one's spiritual progress.

The greatness of Sultan ul Hind Khwaja e Khwajegaan Gharib Nawaaz Hazrat Khwaja Mu’eenud’deen Chishti Ajmeri is not solely based on his spiritual powers, miraculous acts, or services to humanity. Rather, it is his invaluable contribution to the world through the nurturing of a personality that is revered and honoured in both the East and West. His spiritual guidance has given rise to a figure that is widely known and respected as Sultan ul Hind Khwaja e Khwajegaan Gharib Nawaaz Hazrat Khwaja Mu’eenud’deen Chishti Ajmeri.

It is rare to find a true Sunni who has any connection to the Indo-Pak sub-continent and is not familiar with the eminence and excellence of Sultan ul Hind Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaaz.

Allama Hasan Raza Bareilvi, the Ustadh e Zaman Shahanshah e Sukhan and younger brother of Sayyidi Aala Hazrat Imam e Ahle Sunnat Ash Shah Imam Ahmed Raza Khan, beautifully expresses his reverence for Hazrat Khwaja of Hind in his poetry.

Never Deprived is The Mendicant Who Begs At Your Court

The poet Allama Hasan Raza Bareilvi is expressing his deep respect and admiration for Hazrat Khwaja of Hind, and his spiritual court or dargah. By describing the court as "exalted" and "eminent," the poet is emphasizing the lofty and honourable status of Hazrat Khwaja and his teachings.

The second line of the poem, "Never Deprived is The Mendicant Who Begs At Your Court," suggests that anyone who comes to Hazrat Khwaja's court seeking help or assistance will never leave empty-handed. The term "mendicant" refers to a person who begs for alms or charity, and the poet is implying that even the poorest and most destitute people who seek Hazrat Khwaja's assistance will be taken care of and provided for.

In essence, the poet is highlighting the benevolence and generosity of Hazrat Khwaja and the compassionate spirit of his teachings, which are known to have touched the lives of countless individuals and communities throughout the world.

The esteemed personality that I would like to discuss is none other than the Murshid-e-Tariqat and Shaykh-e-Kaamil of Sarkaar Khwaja Gharib Nawaaz. This blessed and prominent personality is Hazrat Sayyidi Sarkaar Khwaja Uthman Harooni.

It is truly amazing to imagine the high spiritual rank of the Murshid and the level of excellence attained by the Murshid when the disciple is none other than Sultan ul Hind. The spiritual station of the Murshid is elevated and noble, and his guidance can lead the disciple to reach great heights in their spiritual journey. Hazrat Sayyidi Sarkaar Khwaja Uthman Harooni was a remarkable spiritual guide who dedicated his life to helping others in their quest for spiritual enlightenment. His teachings and guidance continue to inspire and uplift people all over the world.

 

 

Hazrat Sarkaar Khwaja Uthman Harooni was an esteemed and revered figure, with much to be admired about his life and achievements. While there is some disagreement regarding his birth, most sources indicate that he was born in 536 Hijri, which would correspond to the year 1141. He hailed from a place in Khorasaan called Harwan or Hirwan, hence his appellations Harooni and Harwani or Hirwani.

Hazrat Sarkaar Khwaja Uthman Harooni was not only a great scholar, but also a pious and devoted Sufi of his time. He received his education from the renowned scholars of Nishapur and excelled in the fields of Hadith, Fiqh, and Tafseer. However, his most significant contribution to Islamic history was his spiritual journey.

Hazrat Sayyiduna Khwaja Uthman Harooni took Bay’at, which is the oath of spiritual allegiance, at the sacred hands of Hazrat Khwaja Haji Shareef Zandani, a great mystic of his time. He remained devoted to his grand Murshid and excelled in the path of spiritualism, attaining great heights in Ruhaniyat and journeying swiftly through the paths of Sulook and Ma’rifat.

 

Hazrat Sayyiduna Khwaja Uthman Harooni was a devoted follower of Allah and a great spiritual leader. He took the Oath of Spiritual Allegiance, or Bay’at, from his own spiritual guide, Hazrat Khwaja Haji Shareef Zandani, who was a great mystic of his time.

Hazrat Sayyiduna Khwaja Uthman Harooni was known for his intense spiritual struggles and his sincere devotion to Allah. He performed deep spiritual exercises, or Mujaahida, for seventy years to become closer to Allah. During this time, he only ate what was necessary and never had a full stomach of food. Despite all of his efforts, he also managed to memorize the entire Holy Qur’an, which is a great accomplishment.

This is an example for all Hafiz e Kiraam, or those who have memorized the Holy Qur’an. By following in the footsteps of Hazrat Sayyiduna Khwaja Uthman Harooni and other beloved servants of Allah, they too can attain success and blessings in their knowledge and their recitations.

 
 
 
 

Hazrat Sarkaar Khwaja Uthman Harooni was a very special person who was very close to Allah. When he asked Allah for something in prayer, his prayers would be quickly answered. For example, he asked Allah to let him be buried in the holy city of Makkah Mukarramah, and Allah made that happen.

Hazrat Sarkaar Khwaja Uthman Harooni was also the spiritual guide of Sultan ul Hind Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaaz, who was a very devoted and sincere follower. Hazrat Sarkaar Khwaja Uthman Harooni would pray for Sultan ul Hind's success and spiritual growth, and Allah answered those prayers too. As a result of Hazrat Sarkaar Khwaja Uthman Harooni's prayers, Sultan ul Hind became a very special and important person among the Awliyah, or the close friends of Allah.

Hazrat Sarkaar Khwaja Uthman Harooni's life and teachings continue to inspire and guide people on their spiritual journeys, showing them how to connect with Allah and lead a fulfilling life.

 

The greatness and acceptance of Hazrat Sayyiduna Khwaja Uthman Harooni (RA) were such that even during his Salaah, an unseen voice would confirm the acceptance of his prayer and invite him to ask for anything he desired. However, Hazrat Khwaja Uthman Harooni (RA) would always ask for the closeness of Allah. The voice then blessed him with an endless radiance and asked him what else he desired. In response, Hazrat Khwaja Uthman Harooni (RA) would humbly request forgiveness for the sinful people from the Ummah of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The voice would then inform him of the forgiveness of thirty thousand sinful people from the Ummah of the Prophet (SAW) due to his supplication. Hazrat Sayyid Meer Abdul Wahid Bilgirami (RA) confirms that Hazrat Khwaja Uthman Harooni (RA) received this glad-tidings five times daily.
